Why is there no sound coming from my Panasonic DVD Player?

If you're experiencing no sound, distorted sound, or piercing noise from the speakers connected to your Panasonic DVD Player, start by checking all the connections to ensure they are secure. Verify the volume level on all connected equipment, including your television or stereo system. Make sure the input settings on your TV and stereo system are correctly configured for the DVD player's output. If the 'ADVANCED SURROUND' feature is causing distortion, turn it off. If you're using the DIGITAL AUDIO OUT terminal, double-check that the 'Dolby Digital' and 'DTS Digital Surround' settings are correctly configured in the Audio menu of the SETUP menu.
