Making/Answering Calls
Pause (for PBX/long distance
service users)
A pause is sometimes required
when making calls using a PBX or
long distance service. When storing
a calling card access number and/
or PIN in the phonebook, a pause is
also needed.
Example: If you need to dial the line
access number “0” when making
outside calls with a PBX:
1 Press and hold

. “P” (Pause)
will be displayed.
2 Dial the phone number.

A 3 second pause is inserted each
time you press and hold
L0R
(Pause)
on the handset.
Answering calls
When an external call is received, the
phone rings and
icon ashes on
the display.
1 Lift the handset and press

when the unit rings.
2 When you nish talking, press
LeR
or place the handset on the
base unit or charger.
Auto answer: You can answer calls
simply by lifting the handset (page
29).
Adjusting the handset ringer
volume

to select the desired
volume while ringing.
Making calls
1 Lift the handset and then dial the
phone number.

Note:
While talking, you can switch
between the receiver and the
speakerphone by pressing

When “BUSY” is displayed, another
handset is in use. Wait and try again
later.
Adjusting the receiver or
speaker volume

to select the desired
volume while talking.
Amplify the receiver volume

during a call. “AMPLIFY ON”.
Note:
While talking using speakerphone,
this feature is not available.
