Voicemail service
V
oicemail is an automatic answering service
offered by your phone service provider. After you
subscribe to this service, your service provider/
telephone company’s voicemail system answers
calls for you when you are unavailable to answer
the phone or when your line is busy. Messages
are recorded by your phone service provider, not
your telephone.
When you have new messages,
is displayed
o
n the handset if message indication service is
available. Please contact your phone service
provider for details of this service.
Important:
R If
still remains on the display even after you
h
ave listened to new messages, turn it off by
pressing and holding # for 2 seconds.
R To use the voicemail service provided by your
phone service provider rather than the unit’s
answering system, turn off the answering
system (page 41). For details, see page 47.
