[A check list before you begin.
O All connections are made.
O TV and VCR are plugged in.
(J TV is turned on and tuned to CH3, 4 or Video.
(3 Remote is in VCR mode.
Insert a cassette.
VEA Į + VCR power comes on and “VCR”
CS X À appears on Multi Function Display.
Multi Function Display STOP/EJECT
P | | Press PLAY.

page 36), auto playback begins.
EJECT E To Find a Particular Scene
Forward Search --> Press FF. (To release, press PLAY
or FF.)
Reverse Search --> Press REW. (To release, press PLAY
or REW.)
@ For Still (Freeze) picture --> Press PAUSE/SLOW.
STOP (To release, press PLAY.)
ll For Frame by Frame picture --> Press PAUSE/SLOW in
Still mode.
(To release, press PLAY.)
E For Slow Motion --> Press and hold PAUSE/SLOW in Still
mode. (To release, press PLAY.)
Q CM SKIP SPEED SEARCH a e These features work best in SP or SLP mode.

To reduce picture noise, see “Manual Tracking Control” on
page 37.
After the VCR is in Still or Slow mode for 3 minutes, it will
switch to Stop mode automatically to protect the tape and
the video head.
E To stop --> Press STOP.
E To rewind tape --> Press REW in Stop mode.
E To fast forward tape --> Press FF in Stop mode.
E To eject tape --> Press EJECT on the remote or
STOP/ EJECT on the VCR.
Playback using VCR controls
O To prevent tape jam 2 Press PLAY.
Inspect your cassette tapes and
remove any loose or peeling labels.
1 Insert a cassette.
W Press to stop and/ or eject tape.
