4. Throttle friction adjuster
The throttle friction adjuster is on the tiller handle, which provides adjustable resistance to movement of
the throttle grip, and can be set according to operator preference.
To increase resistance, turn the adjuster clockwise. To decrease resistance, turn the adjuster
counterclockwise. When constant speed is desired, tighten the adjuster to maintain the desired throttle
setting.
WARNING:
Do not over-tighten the friction adjuster. If there is too much resistance, it could be difficult to
move throttle lever or grip, which could result in an accident.
2.9 Stopping engine
NOTE:
Before stopping the engine, first let it cool off for a few minutes at idle or low speed. Stopping
the engine immediately after operating at high speed is not recommended.
1. Push and hold the engine stop button until the engine comes to a complete stop.
