3. Loose the steering friction adjuster by
turning it counterclockwise, and adjust
the steering friction according to operator
preference.
WARNING:
If there is too much resistance it could be difficult to steer, which could result in an accident.
For T40/30FW
1. Place the tilt lock lever in the lock position.
2. Slightly tilt the engine up until the tilt support
bar is automatically released.
3. Slightly tilt the engine up until the tilt support bar is automatically released
2.12 Cruising in other conditions
2.12.1 Cruising in shallow water
The outboard motor can be tilted up partially to allow operation in shallow water.
