Installing your child restraint in the vehicle - Rear Facing mode
REAR FACING MODE USING LAP/
SHOULDER BELT (TYPE II)
1. Recline the child restraint to the rearfacing 
position  as  shown  in  the  picture. To  recline 
the  child  restraint,  pull  the  handle  located 
below the front edge of the shell (A) as shown 
in detail. An audible "click" is heard when the 
seat is properly locked into position.
Note: for easier adjustment, lift the back of the 
seat  slightly  with  your  free  hand  to  remove 
some weight from the mechanism.
2.  Lean  the  reclined  child  restraint, 
unoccupied, on the selected vehicle seat.
3. Pull the vehicle belt at full available length 
and thread both the lap and shoulder portion 
of the belt through the openings under the 
seat area as shown in the picture.
Note: for easier threading, turn the seat at a 45 
degree angle, thread the latch plate throught 
the rst opening, reach under the front of the 
seat and thread through the second opening.
