2. CLOSE the ball valve on the cabinet lower right side.
3. The coalescer drain tube should be extended to reach a
nearby drain. The tubing must have a constant downward
slope for proper draining.
4. The Everpure EverDri High Capacity Compressed Air
System is ready to be started.
WARNING: Use extreme caution when the cabinet door is
open. The compressor may start unexpectedly.
Contact with moving parts may cause personal
injury or damage to the equipment.
NOTE: The operator is expected to keep and maintain a log
sheet. Use a stopwatch to record the date and the
time it takes to pressurize the system. A sample log
sheet is available on the last page of this manual.
Have a stopwatch ready to record the compressor
run time.
5. Plug the electrical cord into the wall receptacle. The
compressor will start. If the compressor does not start,
check that the circuit breaker is in the up (on) position.
6. Record on the log sheet the amount of time it takes to
pressurize the system from 0 psig to 125 psig (8.6 bar).
The compressor will turn off.
NOTE: If the tank was pressurized prior to this startup,
then remove power. The valve at the bottom of the
tank should be opened. When tank pressure is zero
(0), close the valve, plug the power cord back in and
perform the test.
7. Record the date and the pump up time on the
preventative maintenance log sheet that is stored on the
inside of the door.
8. To complete the startup, check that the application
crossover valves are in the correct positions. The
application equipment should be ready to operate.
9. Slowly open the ball valve on the Everpure EverDri
Compressed Air System to provide pressure to the
applications. The valve is located on the cabinet's right
side at the bottom rear of the panel.
10. To ensure efficient operation, be sure all restaurant
compressed air tubing, fittings and equipment are leak
free. Leaks will cause excessive compressor runtime and
early wear.
PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE
The Everpure EverDri Compressed Air System requires
periodic maintenance. The preventative maintenance
program that follows describes the action items that must be
performed every six (6) months. A log sheet is included at the
back of this manual. Use the log sheet to record the results of
each preventative maintenance event. Keep the log sheet in
the holder mounted inside the door of the cabinet.
The maintenance procedures are based on a six-(6) month
schedule. Refer to the service schedule table at the back
of this document for dates and kit numbers. Order the kit
required to receive all the replacement parts needed for the
procedures.
CAUTION: Compressor may start unexpectedly if power is
on. Be certain to turn off or remove power.
CAUTION: Compressor motor and head may be hot.
CAUTION: Air tank contains air under pressure.
CAUTION: Do not wear long clothing, chains or jewelry that
may come into contact with the moving parts of
the product during service. If you have long hair,
tie it back.
CAUTION: While in use, the equipment has electrical
components and hot moving parts.
When diagnosing the EverDri Compressed Air System, the
time it takes to "pump-up" the air storage tank may be
measured. This time is expected to be two (2) minutes, 50
seconds when starting at 0 psig and turning off at 125 psig
(8.6 bar)
To measure compressor pump-up time, follow this
procedure:
1. Unplug compressor.
2. Close outlet ball valve.
3. Drain all air from tank using valve on bottom of tank.
Close the valve when done.
4. Plug in compressor and measure the time from the
startup to automatic shutoff.

inlet. The backup system will power
application equipment during this procedure. If a backup
air pressure system is not available, the application
equipment will not operate during this procedure.
