Taking Still Pictures

In this mode, you can set the shutter speed and aperture manually. This
mode allows you to produce different creative effects in your pictures.
1 Set the mode dial to a.
2 Use the four-way controller (23)
to change the aperture value.
Pressing 2 increases the aperture and
pressing 3 reduces the aperture.
3 Use the four-way controller (45)
to change the shutter speed.
Pressing 5 increases the speed and pressing 4 reduces the speed.
If the exposure you have set is unsuitable within the range of ± 2EV,
o or n and the range appears in the center at the bottom of the LCD
monitor.
If the exposure you have set is unsuitable by more than ± 2EV, o or
n blinks.
4 Press the shutter release button halfway.
The focus frame turns green if the subject is in focus.
5 Press the shutter release button fully.
The picture is taken.
Manual Shooting
Total recording time will be longer when the picture is taken at a
slower shutter speed, because the noise reduction function
activates to reduce noise.
