Taking Still Pictures

Image quality refers to the compression rate of still pictures.
The more stars, the higher the quality and the larger the filesize. The
recorded pixels setting also affects the filesize of your pictures (1p.70).
Quality Levels
1 Press the MENU button in Capture mode.
The [A Rec. Mode] menu appears.
2 Use the four-way controller (23)
to select [Quality Level].
3 Use the four-way controller (45)
to change the quality level.
4 Press the OK button.
The camera is ready to take pictures.

C
Best Lowest compression rate. Suitable for photo prints.
D
Better
Standard compression rate. Suitable for viewing the image
on a computer screen.
E
Good
Highest compression rate. Suitable for attaching to e-mails
or creating websites.
The Quality Level setting is saved when the camera is turned off.
