To set the lens in the A position, match the A-index (green line) on
the aperture ring to the ♦ index mark while depressing the aperture
auto lock button. Release the button to lock the lens in the A
position.
To release the lock, rotate the aperture ring towards aperture scale
with the auto lock button depressed.
A (auto) setting Programmed AE mode
The following modes are available when the lens is set in the manual
f-stops;
f/number setting Aperture-priority AE mode
Metered Manual mode
