Taking Pictures
* Green Mode (p.77) and Voice Recording (p.208) are available in addition to the
ones noted above.
When the camera detects a person’s face in
the image, the Face Detection function
displays a yellow face detection frame around
the face on the display screen, sets the focus
(Face Detection AF) and compensates the
exposure (Face Detection AE).
If the subject in the face detection frame
moves, the frame also moves and
changes size as it tracks the face.
The Face Detection function can
recognize up to 32 people’s faces. If it
recognizes multiple faces, the camera
displays a yellow frame over the main face
and white frames over the other faces. It
can display up to a total of 31 frames,
including both the main and white frames.
