How to troubleshoot a Perfect Aire Air Conditioner not cooling the room?
    • Y
      Yolanda CarrJul 31, 2025
If your Perfect Aire Air Conditioner isn't cooling the room or blowing cold air, make sure the unit is appropriately sized for the room. Ensure all doors, windows, and curtains are closed. Check for obstructions to airflow and allow sufficient time for the room to cool, especially in high outside temperatures. Verify the filter isn't dirty, louvers are open, and the unit is set to Cool Mode with an appropriate temperature. Relocate the unit if it's near a heat source. If the air is cool to the touch, double-check the doors, windows, and airflow. Move the remote away from the unit if using Follow Me, or unplug the unit for 5 minutes, following the reset instructions on the plug.

If your Perfect Aire unit will not turn on, reset the circuit breaker, ensuring not too many items are on the same breaker. Check the plug connection and ensure the on/off switch is in the ‘on’ position if applicable. Try plugging the unit into another outlet. As a last resort, unplug the unit for at least 5 minutes and follow the reset instructions on the plug.

Why is my Perfect Aire 8000PPAC Air Conditioner cooling but the room is too warm, and ice is forming?
    • J
      James GregoryAug 8, 2025
If your Perfect Aire air conditioner is cooling, but the room is too warm and ice is forming on the cooling coil, it could be due to several reasons. If the outdoor temperature is below 64ºF (18ºC) or the thermostat is set too cold for night-time cooling, set the unit to Fan Only mode to defrost the coil and then set the temperature to a higher setting. Also, a dirty air filter may be the cause, so clean the filter.

Why does the 'Follow Me' function deactivate too soon on my Perfect Aire Air Conditioner?
    • M
      Megan JonesAug 26, 2025
If the Remote Sensing / Follow Me feature on your Perfect Aire air conditioner is deactivating prematurely, it might be because the remote control is not located within the appropriate range (20 ft and 180º radius of the front of the unit) or the remote control signal is obstructed. Try placing the remote control within the specified range and removing any obstructions.
