Adjust the Make-up Gas
Make-up gas is required when using capillary columns at low flows
(10 mL/min or less). Since a PID is concentration sensitive, make-up gas flow
should be kept to a minimum to obtain the best peak shapes and sensitivity.
NOTE: Use make-up gas only if you are using a capillary column at flows of ≤10 mL/min.
The following procedures describe how to adjust the make-up gas using PPC
pneumatics.
