Startup and Shutdown
Before starting analysis, leave the spectrometer switched on for approximately 10
minutes to allow the lamps to warm up and stabilize.
Wait until all initialization is complete before starting UV WinLab. This will take
approximately 3 minutes from switch on.
Startup
1. Open the sample compartment cover.
2. Make sure that the beam paths are free, that is,
• No objects (for example, cables) project into the beam paths.
• No samples are in the sample compartment.
• Accessories are properly installed.
NOTE: If the sample compartment is obstructed during the startup procedure, the
spectrometer will not initialize correctly.
3. Close the sample compartment cover.
4. Switch on the power switch.
5. Wait for approximately 3 minutes until all initialization is complete.
6. Switch on the accessories.
7. Ensure the PC is correctly connected.
8. Start UV WinLab.
