If the tractor-trailer does not remain in place in the test position, find a flatter place to
park the vehicle. Always carry out this test if the vehicle is parked in unfavourable
circumstances (gradient, slippery road surface, etc.). In this way, the tractor-trailer
will remain safely parked, even if air leakage should make the drawn vehicle brakes
ineffective.
Switch off the engine.
Put the gear lever in neutral when the vehicle is stationary.
Before switching off the engine after a long trip or when the engine has been
subjected to high loading, let it idle for at least 5 minutes. It is important to let the
engine run for a while in order to prevent the coolant temperature becoming too high
and to allow the turbocharger to cool down.
Switch the engine off by turning the ignition key to 0 position (rest position).
