Introduction
The CD-I
player
system,
to
which
this
MMC
module
belongs,
is
a
micro
processor
system
which
can
handle
sound,
video
and
computer
code
data.
The
MMC
module,
including
the
remote
control,
is
the
heart
of
this
CD-I
system.
The
MMC
controls
all
functions
related
to:
-
the
input
from
the
user
-
the
Digital
Output
(•Do•)
signal
read
from
the
CD-I
and
CD-DA
disc
-
the
application
software
Based
on
this
the
following
outputs
are
generated:
-
the
•Rs•
(control)
signal
to
the
CD-I
player
-
Video
signals
-
Audio
signals
All
CD-I
user
control
functions
are
provided
for
in
this
module.

Precautions
Check
that
your
mains
supply
voltage
is
the
same
as
that
given
on
the
type
plate
on
the
rear
of
the
MMC
module.
- Always
stand
the
unit
either
horizontally
or
vertically
on
a
flat,
firm
base.
Allow
space
around
for
ventilation.
-
Never
place
in
a
hot
sunny
position.
-
Never
allow
to
get
damp.
-
Never
attempt
to
repair
the
unit
yourself.
When
the
unit
is
to
be
transported
or
stored,
handle
it
carefully
to
avoid
giving
it
severe
shocks.
