Overview

This document describes the Philips EasyKey 5000 Series Smart Rim Door Lock, model 5100. It provides comprehensive information on its installation, features, usage, and maintenance.

Function Description

The Philips EasyKey 5100 is a smart rim door lock designed to provide secure and convenient access control for doors. It supports multiple unlocking methods, including PIN codes, fingerprints (optional), and key cards, offering flexibility for various user preferences. The lock can operate in both general mode and dual verification mode, enhancing security by requiring two forms of identity for unlocking in the latter. It also features automatic and manual locking modes, allowing users to choose how the door secures itself after closing.

Key functions include:

  • Outside Unlocking: Users can unlock the door from the outside using a PIN code, a registered fingerprint (if the optional fingerprint module is present), or a key card.
  • Inside Unlocking: The door can be unlocked from the inside using a mechanical key.
  • Locking Modes:
    • Auto Mode: The main deadbolt automatically extends to lock the door after it closes.
    • Manual Mode: The main deadbolt does not automatically extend. The door needs to be manually locked from the outside using a successful verification (fingerprint, PIN code, or card) or from the inside using the mechanical key.
  • User Management: The system allows for the addition and deletion of user PIN codes, one-time user PIN codes, fingerprints, and key tags. Each user is assigned a unique user number for easy management.
  • System Settings: Users can modify the master PIN code, adjust the system volume (high, low, or mute), change the language (Chinese or English), and switch between single and dual verification modes.
  • Extended Functions: The lock supports network integration, allowing users to connect it to the Philips EasyKey App for advanced features.
  • System Query: Users can query the product's security code (series number) and software version.
  • Bluetooth Settings: Bluetooth functionality can be enabled or disabled, facilitating binding with the EasyKey App.
  • One-button Mute Function: A dedicated mute button allows users to turn off voice guidance for quiet operation.
  • Outside Forced Lock Function: When enabled, unlocking the door from the inside will trigger an alarm, providing an additional layer of security when occupants are inside.
  • Factory Reset: A one-button function allows all user information to be cleared and the lock to be restored to its default factory settings.
