Overview

The Philips EasyKey 7200 is a smart lever door lock designed to provide secure and convenient access to your home. This advanced door lock integrates multiple unlocking methods, system settings, and security features, making it a comprehensive solution for modern households.

Function Description

The primary function of the Philips EasyKey 7200 is to secure your door while offering various ways to unlock and lock it. It supports both general mode and dual verification mode, allowing users to choose their preferred level of security. In general mode, the door can be unlocked using any single registered identity information, such as a PIN code, fingerprint, or card. For enhanced security, the dual verification mode requires any two of these identity types to unlock the door.

The lock's core mechanism involves a lever handle for both inside and outside operation, a mortise that houses the latch bolt, and an escutcheon on both sides of the door. The outside escutcheon features a keypad for PIN code entry, a card reader for access cards, a fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication, and a mute button. It also includes indicators for low battery, door lock status, and an emergency power interface, along with a mechanical keyhole for backup access. The inside escutcheon contains a battery cabinet, a lever, a safe handle switch, a reset button, an extension module, and a rotary knob for deadlocking.

Usage Features

Unlocking from Outside:

  • With PIN code: To unlock with a PIN code, simply touch the keypad to light up the buttons, enter your registered PIN code, and press the '#' key to confirm. After hearing "Door opened," press the handle to open the door.
  • With fingerprint: Place your registered finger properly on the sensor. Upon hearing "Door opened," press the handle to open the door.
  • With card: Hold your registered card close to the card reader. After hearing "Door opened," press the handle to open the door.

Unlocking from Inside:

  • With handle: The Philips EasyKey 7200 employs an indoor fast opening mortise, allowing you to directly press the handle to unlock the door. For this to work, ensure the safe handle switch is toggled to the green scale, disabling the safe handle function.

Locking from Outside/Inside:

  • To lock the door, simply lift the handle after closing it. The bolt will pop up, and the door will be locked.

Deadlock from Inside:

  • When the EasyKey is locked, you can rotate the rotary knob on the inside escutcheon to the red scale to enable inside deadlock. This prevents the door from being opened from the outside, even with valid credentials. Rotating the knob to the green scale disables this function.

Mechanical Key Opening:

  • In emergencies, such as a dead battery or system failure, a mechanical key can be used. The key shell needs to be manipulated to align the key with the keyhole, then rotated to unlock the door. It is advised not to use the mechanical key for daily unlocking.

Troubleshooting:

  • Low battery alarm: The system will trigger an alarm and voice prompt "Low battery. Please replace all batteries" during unlocking when the battery voltage is low. The alarm turns off automatically.
  • Mechanical key opening alarm: Triggered when the lock is opened by a key, with continuous repeated alarms. Turns off automatically or after successful verification.
  • Anti-dismantle alarm: Triggered if the door is pried open or there is no fit in the door, with continuous repeated alarms. Turns off with auto-close, successful key verification, or normal indoor unlock.

Maintenance Features

Emergency Power:

  • If the battery voltage is insufficient and the door cannot be powered up from the outside, you can use a 5V power bank connected to the Micro USB interface for emergency power. After opening the door, replace the batteries immediately.
  • In case of a system crash, pressing the Reset button (located on the inside escutcheon) will reboot the system.

Battery Replacement:

  • The lock is powered by four 1.5V alkaline batteries. There are two sets of working power inside the battery cabinet, allowing for up to eight batteries to extend battery life. The battery cabinet is located at the upper end of the inside escutcheon. To replace batteries, push the battery cover upwards to remove it, then replace the batteries, ensuring correct polarity.

Cleaning:

  • The product should be cleaned with a soft cloth. Avoid using corrosive substances or sharp objects on the fingerprint sensor, as this can cause permanent damage.

Installation and Professional Assistance:
