STATION
NAME
You
can
manually
enter
names
for
preset
stations
which
will
be
shown
on
the
display
when
you
are
tuned
to
that
preset
number.
The
name
can
be
a
combination
of
figures,
letters,
symbols
and
spaces
and
can
be
made
up
of
a
maximum
of
5
characters.

Choose
a
preset
number
with
the
digit
keys
(6).
e
Press
the
SND
key
(18).
The
display
shows
ENTER!
MANE.
The
flashing
cursor
shows
the
location
for
the
input.
e
By
pressing
the
digit/alphabet
keys
(6)
repeatedly
you
can
select
the
desired
name.
To
move
the
cursor
to
the
next
(or
previous)
position,
use
the
UP
A
or
DOWN
V
keys
(7).
e
Press
SND
(18)
again
to
store
the
name
in
the
memory.

no
preset

selected,

display

Programming
is
automatically
interrupted

fail

push
any

Changing
a
name
e
Press
the
SND
key
(18).
The
first
character
of
the
existing
name
starts
to
flash.
e
Enter
the
new
name
and
press
the
SND
key
(18)
again
to
store
it
into
the
memory.
Erasing
a
name
e
Press
the
SND
key
(18).
The
first
character
of
the
name
starts
to
flash.
e
You
can
now
erase
a
character
by
moving
the
cursor
to
the
desired
position,
after
which
you
press
the
digit
key
‘YZ/I_I,
9’
three
times
(I_l).
e
Press
the
SND
key

again.
The
name
or
character
has
now
been
erased
DISPLAY
e
Press
the
DISPLAY
key
(15)
to
select
the
station
name
be
shown
on
the
display.
lf
this
key
is
pressed
when
the
preset
has
no
name,
the
display
will
show

MAME
and
will
then
return
to
showing
the
frequency.
If
this
key
is
pressed
while
no
preset
has
been
selected,
the
display
will
show
MO
FEES.

SCAN
e
By
pressing
the
SCAN
key
on
the
system
remote
control,
you
can
scan
all
stored
preset
stations.
The
unit
will
now
scan
all
stored
preset
stations,
beginning
with
the
current
preset.
You
will
hear
10
seconds
of
the
program
of
each
station.
The
display
shows
SCAN
for
two
seconds
and
then,
during
the
remaining
8
seconds,
the
preset
number
and
frequency
or
name
of
the
preset
station
that
is
being
scanned.
e
By
pressing
SCAN
again,
you
can
stop
the
scanning
function
at
the
preset
station
you
wish
to
hear.
e
The
scanning
function
stops
automatically
when
all
presets
have
been
scanned.
Note:
|f
stations
are
too
weak,
the
scanning
function
will
not
stop
on
these
presets.
SLEEP
The
sleep
timer
can
be
used
to
set
a
time
period
after
which
you
wish
your
system
to
be
switched
to
standby
mode.
Press
the
SLEEP
key
(20).
The
display
shows
the
indication
SLEEP
and
the
message
SLEEF
30
Mt.
This
means
that
the
system
will
be
switched
to
standby
after
90
minutes.
Every
time
you
press
the
SLEEP
key
again
(within
4
seconds)
the
period
will
be
decreased
by
15
minutes:

—>
HS
NM
-—>
SO MN
->

->
OFF.
When
the
SLEEP
key
(20)
is
pressed
after
the
15
minutes
position
the
display
will
show
SLEEF
CFF
and
the
SLEEP

Notes:
e
During
an
active
sleep
timer
period
you
can
reset
the
time
to
ic]
MM
again
by
pressing
the
SLEEP
key
(20).
e
Asleep
timer
period
will
be
cancelled
when
you
switch
your
system
to
standby
(with
the
standby
key
on
your
remote
control).
DEMO
MODE
e
By
pressing
and
holding
the
SLEEP
key
(20)
down
for
more
than
3
seconds,
you
can
start
a
demonstration
program.
(When
the
SLEEP
key
(20)
is
pressed
the
receiver
will
first
switch
to
the
sleep
mode
and
after
3
seconds
to
demo
mode.)
e
Several
features
of
your
receiver
will
now
be
shown
one
after
another
on
the
display
(and
on
the
volume
control).
e
The
demo
mode
can
be
stopped:
by
pressing
the
SLEEP
key
(20)
again.
by
switching
your
receiver
off
with
the
POWER
STANDBY/OFF
button
(1).
or
by
switching
to
standby
with
the
STANDBY
key
on
your
remote
control.
