Gearbox Control
The gearbox has two speed ranges –
LOW speed range is for manoeuvring and
operating including when towing. This range
gives the high torque to tow and grade on steep
slopes.
LOW speed range 0 to 4.5 kph
LOW/MEDIUM range 0 to 6.5 kph
HIGH speed range is for travelling between
sites. This range is high speed, low torque; on
steep slopes LOW range will need to be engaged.
HIGH speed range 0 to 26 kph
HIGH/MEDIUM range 0 to 16 kph
(Hillclimbing seed)
LOW and HIGH ranges are selected by a switch on the front
console (with hare marking).
In LOW range the tortoise warning light illuminates amber.
In HIGH range the hare warning light illuminates amber.
(High is selected when the ‘H’ symbol on switch is down)
To change range, with the machine stationary, press the switch
to either position. There is no clutch or brake pedal to push.
IMPORTANT
The machine should be stationary when changing
from High to Low or Low to High speed range.
Regardless if machine has midrange selected or
not.
The speed in reverse is restricted.
(LOW reverse is 4.5kph/HIGH reverse is 16 kph
max)
