Sets the level of sensitivity for FM to level 2.

Sets the level of sensitivity for FM to level 3.

Sets the level of sensitivity for FM to level 4.
AM
! Off (default):
Turns the seek tuning setting off.
! Level1:
Sets the level of sensitivity for AM to level 1.
! Level2:
Sets the level of sensitivity for AM to level 2.
p The FM “Level4” (AM “Level2”) setting al-
lows reception of only stations with the
strongest signals, while lower settings
allow reception of those with weaker sig-
nals.
Searching for an RDS station
using PTY information
You can search for general types of broadcast-
ing programmes.
p This function can only be used on the FM
band.
1 Touch the following key.
Displays the screen to search for gener-
al types of broadcasting programmes.
2 Touch the following keys to select a
programme type.
Displays the previous programme type.
Displays the next programme type.
There are four programme types:
News&Info — Popular — Classics — Others
3 Touch the following key.
Begins a search.
The tuner searches for a station broadcasting
that programme type.
# If you touch [Cancel], the search is cancelled.
p The programmes of some stations may dif-
fer from that indicated by the transmitted
PTY.
p If no station is broadcasting the type of pro-
gramme you searched for, “Not Found” is
displayed for about two seconds and then
the tuner returns to the original station.
Receiving traffic
announcements
TA (traffic announcement standby) lets you re-
ceive traffic announcements automatically, no
matter what source you are listening to. TA
can be activated for both a TP station (a sta-
tion that broadcasts traffic information) or an-
other enhanced network’s TP station (a station
carrying information that cross-references TP
stations).
p This function can only be used on the FM
band.
1 Press the HOME button to display the
Top menu screen.
2 Touch the following keys in the follow-
ing order.
The “System” screen appears.
3 Touch [AV Source Settings].
The following screen appears.
