Troubleshooting Insert Issues
Issue Causes Possible Solution
Poor Insert Feed
l Feeder not selected to feed
l Insert feeder side guides set
incorrectly
l Inserts loaded incorrectly
l Insert feeder wedge used
incorrectly
l Inserts out of specification
l Check job setup
l Set guides to sheet width and back off 1/4
turn
l Verify the two insert feeder adjustments
(number and letter settings) are set correctly
for the type of insert being run
l Make sure to fan the stack before loading. It
may help to change the orientation of the
insert stack
l Let the wedge slide down behind the insert
stack for support
l Check the specifications in this guide
