      If the Link LED on your Planet Switch doesn't light up after connecting a workstation to the STP port, first ensure both the workstation and the switch are powered on. Also, check that the network cable is properly attached to the workstation and that you're using a straight-through (not cross-over) network cable. Finally, verify the wiring to the phone jack pins for correct and secure connections.

      If the power LED on your Planet Switch is not lit after plugging in the power cord, first verify the power outlet is working by plugging in a known working device. If a voltmeter is available, measure the DC voltage from the AC adapter.
