10.1 2D dental programs
2D dental programs include:
• Panoramic
• Bitewing
• 2D View
Panoramic
The Panoramic program is the standard 2D imaging program for dental
imaging, and provides a wide exposure that shows the entire exposure area
on a single plane.
Bitewing
The Bitewing program produces bitewing images from premolar and molar
areas including parts of maxilla, mandible and rami. The bottom of the
maxillary sinus as well as the mandibular canal and the mental foramen
are also visible.
