4. Setting up your PLEXTALK.
4.1. Selecting your preferred synthetic voice.
You are given the choice of two synthetic voices for the text to speech
voice. To select your preferred text to speech voice, do the following:
 Press the Menu key once to access the Main Menu.
 Use the Number 4 or 6 key to go to the "System settings"
option and select it by pressing the Enter key or Number 8 key.
 Use the Number 4 or 6 key to go to the "Select the synthetic
voice" option and select it by pressing the Enter key or Number
8 key.
 Use the Number 4 or 6 key to select your preferred voice and
press the Enter key or Number 8 key to confirm.
Note: If you change the synthetic voice, PLEXTALK will shut down
and restart.
4.2. Selecting the pitch of the synthetic voice.
To adjust the pitch of the built in text to speech voice, do the
following:
 Press the Menu key once to access the Main Menu.
 Use the Number 4 or 6 key to go to the "System settings"
option and select it by pressing the Enter key or Number 8 key.
 Use the Number 4 or 6 key to go to the "Select the pitch of the
synthetic voice" option and select it by pressing the Enter key
or Number 8 key.
 Use the Number 4 or 6 key to choose your preferred pitch
setting, in the range from -5 to +5, with 0 being the normal
setting, and select it by pressing the Enter key or Number 8
key.
