9. Playing Text Files.
In the context of this guide, Text Files can either be plain text,
Microsoft Word .doc files or HTML files.
9.1. Navigating by screen, paragraph, line, sentence, word
or character.
A Text File will always give you the navigation options "Screen",
"Paragraph", "Line", "Sentence", "Word" and "Character". These
options will automatically appear on the Navigation Menu when you
access this type of file. For Word and HTML files that have been
coded with headings, you will be given an additional navigation option
on the Navigation Menu. This will be called "Level".
To navigate by any of these options, the process is identical as
follows:
Use the Number 2 or 8 key to select your preferred navigation
method i.e. paragraph, sentence, word or character.
Use the Number 4 key to jump back in the file by the selected
amount.
Use the Number 6 key to jump forward in the file by the
selected amount.
To navigate paragraphs sequentially, do the following:
To move backwards to the previous paragraph, simply press
the Rewind key. Press the Fast Forward key to move forward
to the next paragraph.
Note: "Screen" means 40 lines.
