5. Install the Clutch Center Distance Tool onto the
crankshaft and transmission input shaft to properly
position the clutch center distance. The pictures
below show the Clutch Center Distance Tool properly
installed.

6. Torque the rear transmission mount bolts to
specification.
7. In sequence, torque the eight engine coupler bracket
bolts to specification.
TORQUE
Engine to Trans Coupler bolts:
(In Sequence)55 ft-lbs (75 Nm)
8. Remove the clutch center distance tool.
9. Remove the spacer or support between the vehicle
frame and engine.
10. Replace starter O-ring if needed and lubricate O-ring
with grease. Install the starter and the two bolts
securing the starter motor to the engine. Torque
fasteners to specification as outlined in Chapter 10.
Be sure wires are routed correctly.
TORQUE
Starter Mounting Bolts:
7 ft-lb (10 Nm)
