Menu Function Description and Setting
1 RX CODE selection
This function keeps your radio in quiet when don’t receive
given call. Please set it following the below steps:
Press [MODE] key then rotate the “DIAL” knob to enter
[02]:shows RX CODE
Press [MODE] key to go into the menu.
Press [F] key to select in OFF/CTCSS/DCS.
Rotate the “DIAL” knob clockwise or withershins to adjust
CTCSS/DCS frequency.
Press [MODE] key after selection to conrm or press PTT
to save the new setting and return to normal operating
mode.
2. TX CODE selection
Press [MODE] key then rotate the “DIAL” knob to enter
[03]: shows TX CODE
Press [MODE] key to go into the menu.
Press [F] key to select in OFF/CTCSS/DCS.
Rotate the “DIAL” knob clockwise or withershins to adjust
CTCSS/DCS frequency.
Press [MODE] key after selection to conrm or press PTT
to save the new setting and return to normal operating
mode.
3 SQL level setting
Squelch system can eliminate background noise when there
is no signal received, which not only make it more comfor-
table at standby mode, but also signicantly reduces the
standby power consumption. Please set the squelch level
following steps below:
Press [MODE] key and then tune [DIAL] knob to enter
menu 04. And SQL is showed.
Press [MODE] key again to enter the menu.
Clockwise or counterclockwise rotate [DIAL] knob to se-
lect: 0/1/2/3/4 (usually set as 1, which is the best sensi-
tivity point).
