5.3.5 Receiving a geographic area call
A GEOGRAPHIC AREA CALL are received by vessels by within a specific
geographical boundary area.
1. Whenyoureceivenotificationofageographicalcallpressanykeytocancel the
alert. The radio tunes to the disgnated channel by press ENT key or CANCEL key to
normal mode with original channel. The time and the user MMSI are displayed on
the screen and the call data is stored in the call log.
2. Monitortheworkingchannelforanannouncementfromthecalling vessel.

receiveddistresscallautomated procedurereceivedanotherDSCmessagesthat

1) If the equipment is engaged on a call and a DSC call is received with a higher
priority than the current call theequipment will displayasbelow

