Automatic
exposure
control
The
automatic
exposure
control
is
connected
with
an
electrical
transmission
of
the
diaphragm
values
thus
enabling
light
metering
at
fully
open
aperture,
and
consequently
with
a
bright
viewfinder
image.
The lenses
provided
with
the
electrical
transmission
of
the
diaphragm
values
are
fitted
for
this
purpose
with
contact
pins.
It
is, however,
also
possible
to
use
any
other
lenses wi
thout
the
elec~ric
value
transmission
provided
they
have
the
PRAKTICA lens
thread.
Metering
is
then
made
with
the
taking
aperture,
with
the
viewfinder
image
somewhat
darkened
according
to
the
selected
aperture.
Both
the
methods
of
light
metering
offer
two
possibilities
:
a)
preselection
of
shutter
speed
and
compensation
by
altering
the
diaphragm
value,
b)
preselection
of
a
certain
diaphragm
number
and
compensation
by
altering
the
shutter
speed.
