Heart Rate Fat Burn Program
(9.27 model only)
Start with the Heart Rate Fat
Burn Program if this is the first
time you have used a heart rate
program or you are returning to
an exercise fitness routine. The
target heart rate set for this program is 65% of your
maximum aerobic heart rate.
CAUTION: Consult your physician to determine the
appropriate target heart rate for your age and fitness
level. Your heart rate should never exceed 85% of your
maximum aerobic heart rate. Your maximum heart rate
is equal to 220 minus your age.
Incline changes occur automatically and maintain your
heart rate within two beats per minute of your target heart
rate while you exercise. If your physician recommends a
different target heart rate than the one that appears on the
display, you can adjust your target heart rate by using the
INCLINE arrow keys once you complete the warm-up
period.
The running belt’s speed is completely under your control.
Adjust the speed using the SPEED arrow keys.
Heart Rate Cardio Program
(9.27 model only)
Similar to the Heart Rate Fat
Burn Program, the Heart Rate
Cardio Program on the 9.27
treadmill maintains your target
heart rate within two beats per
minute of your target heart rate. The target heart rate for
this program is set at 80% of your maximum aerobic heart
rate. Use this program if you are already familiar with heart
monitored-type programs and you want to keep your target
heart rate in the higher cardiovascular range.
CAUTION: Consult your physician to determine the
appropriate target heart rate for your age and fitness
level. Your heart rate should never exceed 85% of your
maximum aerobic heart rate. Your maximum heart rate
is equal to 220 minus your age.
