This document describes the setup and configuration of the Precor Personal Viewing System (PVS) for North American and Pro:Idiom versions. It is intended for system administrators and registered service technicians, not for equipment users or non-administrative staff.
Function Description
The Precor PVS is a personal viewing system designed to provide entertainment, primarily television, to users of Precor exercise equipment. It allows for the configuration of various settings to optimize the user experience and facility management. The system supports both North American and Pro:Idiom versions, with specific features tailored to each. The Pro:Idiom version is designed to handle encrypted channels, commonly found in hospitality and commercial environments.
Important Technical Specifications
The manual does not explicitly list detailed technical specifications such as display resolution, power consumption, or physical dimensions. However, it implies the following:
- Software Version: The system runs on a specific software version (e.g., 303751-xxx xxx) which can be updated via USB.
- Channel Support: Supports both ATV (analog television) and DTV (digital television) signals. The Pro:Idiom version specifically handles encrypted channels.
- Audio Output: Features headphone detection, allowing for private listening.
- Input/Output: Includes a USB port for software updates.
- Control Interface: Utilizes a keypad with dedicated buttons for channel, volume, source, power, and system setup functions.
Usage Features
The PVS offers a range of features to customize the viewing experience and manage the system:
