  If the test doesn't start after you apply the sample, here are a few things to check: * Make sure you're using enough blood. Try the test again with a new strip and a larger blood sample. * The test strip might be defective. Try again using a new test strip. * Ensure you apply the sample when the flashing symbol appears on the display. If too much time has passed (more than 3 minutes since the last action), repeat the test with a new strip.
