If your Pro-Form Treadmill doesn't turn on, ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a surge suppressor, and the surge suppressor is connected to a properly grounded outlet. Also, verify that the key is correctly inserted into the console after plugging in the power cord. Finally, check the power switch on the treadmill frame near the power cord. If it's protruding, the switch has tripped; wait five minutes, then press it back in to reset it.

If the walking belt on your Pro-Form Treadmill is off-center, first remove the key and unplug the power cord. If the belt has shifted left, use a hex key to turn the left idler roller screw clockwise 1/2 turn. If it has shifted right, turn the screw counterclockwise 1/2 turn. Avoid overtightening. Plug the power cord back in, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat this process until the belt is centered.

If the incline of your Pro-Form Treadmill doesn't change correctly, hold down the Stop button and the Speed increase button, insert the key into the console, and then release both buttons. Press the Stop button, then press either the Incline increase or decrease button. The treadmill will rise to its maximum incline and then return to the minimum, recalibrating the incline system. If calibration doesn't start, press the Stop button again, then press the Incline increase or decrease button again.

How to loosen the walking belt on a Pro-Form Treadmill?
    • N
      Nicole WilliamsAug 15, 2025
If the walking belt on your Pro-Form Treadmill is too tight, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Use a hex key to turn both idler roller screws counterclockwise 1/4 of a turn. Properly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the belt 2 to 3 inches off the platform. Keep the belt centered. Plug the power cord back in, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until properly tightened. Overtightening can decrease performance and damage the belt.
