First, ensure the power cord is plugged into a surge suppressor, and the surge suppressor is correctly plugged into a grounded outlet. Also, verify that the key is properly inserted into the console. Finally, check the power switch; if it's tripped (protruding), wait five minutes, then press it back in to reset.
