What to do if my Procom Gas Heater smells like gas even when it's off?
    • S
      Sharon FlemingAug 20, 2025
If you smell gas when the control knob of your Procom Gas Heater is in the OFF position, there could be a gas leak or the control valve might be defective. You should locate and correct all leaks or consider replacing the control valve.

What to do if my Procom Gas Heater ODS/pilot lights but flame goes out when control knob is released?
    • L
      Laurie JamesAug 22, 2025
If the ODS/pilot lights but the flame goes out when you release the control knob on your Procom Gas Heater, make sure the control knob is fully pressed in and held for at least 30 seconds after lighting. Also, ensure the equipment shutoff valve is fully open. Check the thermocouple connection at the control valve, tightening it by hand until snug, then another 1/4 turn. The pilot flame may not be touching the thermocouple due to low gas pressure or a dirty/clogged ODS/pilot. In this case, contact your local gas company or clean/replace the ODS/pilot assembly. If the thermocouple or control valve is damaged, consider replacing them.

Why won't my Procom Gas Heater burner(s) light after the ODS/pilot is lit?
    • M
      Mr. Billy Taylor Jr.Aug 25, 2025
If the burner(s) on your Procom Gas Heater won't light after the ODS/pilot is lit, the burner orifice may be clogged or the diameter might be too small. Try cleaning or replacing the burner orifice. Also, the inlet gas pressure could be too low, in which case you should contact your local gas supplier.

What to do if my Procom Gas Heater shuts off while in use (ODS operates)?
    • C
      carlos52Aug 27, 2025
If your Procom Gas Heater shuts off while in use and the ODS operates, it could be due to a lack of fresh air. Open a window or door for ventilation. It may also be caused by low line pressure, in which case you should contact your local gas supplier. A partially clogged ODS/pilot could also be the cause, so try cleaning it.

Why does my Procom Gas Heater have a high yellow flame during burner combustion?
    • K
      kaitlin11Aug 28, 2025
A high yellow flame during burner combustion in your Procom Gas Heater indicates that there may not be enough air. Check the burner for dirt and debris, and clean it if necessary. The gas regulator could be defective, and require replacement, or the inlet gas pressure might be too low, requiring you to contact your local gas supplier.

What to do if there is no spark at ODS/pilot when ignitor button is pressed in Procom Gas Heater?
    • T
      Thomas ButlerAug 30, 2025
If there's no spark at the ODS/pilot when you press the ignitor button on your Procom Gas Heater, the ignitor electrode may be positioned incorrectly or broken, requiring you to replace the pilot assembly. The ignitor electrode may not be connected to the ignitor cable, in which case the ignitor cable should be replaced. The ignitor cable may be pinched or wet; ensure it is free and dry. A broken ignitor cable or a bad piezo ignitor could also be the cause, requiring their replacement.

      ahernandezSep 3, 2025

What to do if I press the ignitor button and there is a spark at ODS/pilot but no ignition in my Procom Gas Heater?
    • A
      Andrew GreenSep 5, 2025
If you're getting a spark at the ODS/pilot but no ignition when pressing the ignitor button on your Procom Gas Heater, make sure the gas supply is turned on and the equipment shutoff valve is open. Fully press in the control knob while pressing the ignitor button. If there's air in the gas lines from installation, continue holding down the control knob and repeat the igniting operation until the air is removed. The ODS/pilot may be clogged, so clean or replace the ODS/pilot assembly. Also, check the inlet gas pressure or replace the inlet gas regulator if damaged. Ensure the control knob is in the PILOT position. Finally, if you are using propane, check for a depleted gas supply and contact your local propane/LP gas company.

Why does my Procom Gas Heater have delayed ignition of burner(s)?
    • S
      Summer LeonSep 7, 2025
If your Procom Gas Heater experiences delayed ignition of the burner(s), the manifold pressure may be too low, in which case you should contact your local gas supplier. Alternatively, the burner orifice might be clogged, requiring you to clean or replace it.
