What to do if burner does not light on my Procom MN100HBG?
    • D
      Deborah AllenAug 20, 2025
If the burner(s) on your Procom Heater does not light after the ODS/pilot is lit, it could be due to a clogged burner orifice, which should be cleaned or replaced. Alternatively, the burner orifice diameter might be too small, requiring replacement. Finally, the inlet gas pressure could be too low, so contact your local gas supplier.

Why does the pilot light go out on my Procom MN100HBG Heater?
    • J
      Jeffrey LopezAug 22, 2025
If the ODS/pilot lights but the flame goes out when you release the control knob on your Procom Heater, make sure the control knob is fully pressed in. After the ODS/pilot lights, keep the control knob pressed in for 30 seconds. Also, ensure the equipment shutoff valve is fully open. Check that the thermocouple connection is snug at the control valve, hand-tightening it until it is snug, and then tighten 1/4 turn more. This issue may also be due to low gas pressure or a dirty/clogged ODS/pilot, so contact your local gas company or clean/replace the ODS/pilot assembly. If the thermocouple or control valve is damaged, consider replacing them.

      sryanAug 25, 2025
If your Procom Heater shuts off during use, with the ODS operating, it could be due to several reasons. Not enough fresh air may be available, so try opening a window or door for ventilation. Alternatively, there might be low line pressure, in which case you should contact your local gas supplier. Lastly, a partially clogged ODS/pilot can cause this issue; consider cleaning the ODS/pilot.

Why do I smell gas when my Procom Heater is off?
    • T
      Taylor CarlsonAug 26, 2025
If you smell gas even when the control knob of your Procom Heater is in the OFF position, it could indicate a gas leak or a defective control valve. You should locate and correct any gas leaks. If there are no leaks, consider replacing the control valve.

Why does my Procom MN100HBG Heater smell?
    • A
      adam46Aug 28, 2025
If your Procom Heater produces unwanted odors, it could be due to several reasons. The heater might be burning vapors from paint, hair spray, or glues; in this case, ventilate the room and stop using odor-causing products while the heater is running. A gas leak could also be the cause; locate and correct any leaks. Finally, if you're using a propane model, it might be due to a low fuel supply, so refill the supply tank.

      Ian WilliamsAug 29, 2025
If you experience a high yellow flame during burner combustion in your Procom Heater, it could be due to several reasons. There might not be enough air; check the burner for dirt and debris and clean it if necessary. Alternatively, the gas regulator might be defective, requiring replacement. Lastly, the inlet gas pressure could be too low, so contact your local gas supplier.

Why is my Procom Heater backfiring?
    • T
      Thomas HallSep 1, 2025
If your Procom Heater burner is backfiring during combustion, it could be due to a clogged or damaged burner orifice, which should be cleaned or replaced. The burner itself may also be damaged. Additionally, a damaged gas regulator could be the cause, and it should be replaced.

Why is my Procom Heater whistling?
    • A
      ahamiltonSep 3, 2025
If your Procom Heater produces a whistling noise when the burner is lit, try turning the control knob to the low (1) position and let it warm up for a minute. This issue may be because the control knob was turned to the high (5) position when the burner was cold. It could also be due to air in the gas line, operate the burner until the air is removed from the line and have the gas line checked by your local gas supplier. Blocked air passageways on the heater may also cause this; be sure to observe minimum installation clearances. Lastly, a dirty or partially clogged burner orifice can cause this; consider cleaning the burner or replacing the burner orifice.

How to fix no spark on my Procom MN100HBG Heater?
    • H
      hgrossSep 6, 2025
If the ignitor button is pressed, but there is no spark at the ODS/pilot of your Procom Heater, it could be due to several reasons. The ignitor electrode might be positioned wrong or broken, in which case you should replace the pilot assembly. The ignitor electrode might not be connected to the ignitor cable, or the ignitor cable might be pinched or wet, so replace the ignitor cable and ensure it is free from obstructions and kept dry. A broken ignitor cable or a bad piezo ignitor could also be the cause, requiring replacement of the ignitor cable or the piezo ignitor, respectively.
