  To recalibrate the incline on your ProForm Treadmill, insert the key and press an Incline button. While the incline is changing, remove the key, wait a few seconds, and then re-insert it. The treadmill will automatically rise to the maximum incline and then return to the minimum, recalibrating the incline system.

What to do if my ProForm 900 walking belt is off-center or slips?

  If your ProForm Treadmill's walking belt is off-center, unplug the power cord and remove the key. For a belt shifted left, turn the left rear roller bolt clockwise 1/2 turn; if shifted right, turn it counterclockwise 1/2 turn. Re-plug, insert the key, and run briefly to check. If the belt slips, with the machine unplugged and the key removed, turn both rear roller bolts clockwise 1/4 turn. Proper tension allows lifting the belt edges 7-10 cm off the platform. Re-plug, insert the key, and test while walking, repeating adjustments as needed.

  If the walking belt on your ProForm Treadmill slows down when you walk on it, ensure you're using an appropriate extension cord (3-conductor, 14-gauge, no longer than 5 ft.). If the belt is too tight, unplug the treadmill and remove the key. Loosen both rear roller bolts counterclockwise 1/4 turn. A properly tightened belt should allow lifting its edges 7-10 cm off the platform. Re-plug, insert the key, and test, repeating adjustments until correct.
