Problem Possible Causes Solution
Coffee comes
out around the
edge of the lter
holder.
The spout holes are blocked. Clean the spout holes.
The coee powder is too ne.
Please replace it with the
coee powder which is
relevantly coarse.
There is too much coee in the
lter holder.
Reduce the quantity of coee
using the measuring spoon.
The boiler outlet seal is worn.
Please contact the authorized
service center.
The lter holder
will not attach to
the appliance.
The lter has been overlled.
Use the supplied measuring
spoon and use the correct
lter.
The coffee is
cold.
The ON/OFF indicator light is
ashing and the appliance is not
ready for brewing coee.
Wait until the ON/OFF indicator
light stops ashing. Then press
the 1-cup, 2-cup or manual
button.
The lter holder is not inserted
during the preheating time.
Make sure the lter holder is in
place during preheating time.
The cups are cold.
Preheat the cups with hot
water or place them on the
warming plate.
The pump is very
noisy.
Water tank is empty.
Rell the water tank with
water.
Water tank is not securely in place. Press down rmly on the tank.
The “crema” of
the coffee is
light in colour.
The ground coee has not been
tamped suciently.
Tamp the coee harder.
There is insucient ground coee. Use a larger quantity.
The coee grind is too coarse.
Use only ground coee for
espresso machines.
The “crema” of
the coffee is
dark in colour.
The ground coee has been tamped
too hard.
Tamp the coee with less force.
There is too much ground coee. Decrease the quantity used.
The boiler outlet or lter is blocked. Clean the outlet and the lter.
The coee grind is too ne.
Use only ground coee for
espresso machines.
