MASTER POINTSASASOURCE FOR IMPROVING PERFORMANCE
These points, stemming from acupuncture, can be used at any ti-
me as support or can even be chosen as main points. The ma-
ster points are to be found on the lower arm, chest and leg.
Lower arm master points (Pe 6, between the tendons of the
radial flexor muscles of the wrist on the inside of the lower arm,
2 Cun proximal to the wrist and Lu 9, on the radial side of the
fold between hand and wrist, lateral to the Arteria Radialis) ha-
ve a relaxing effect on the cardiovascular system, and improve
circulation and blood flow properties.
Chest master points (Lu 1, one Cun below the collar bone, six
Cun lateral to the center line between the first and second ribs)
increase breathing capacity.
Leg master points (Ma 36, one finger’s breadth lateral to the
lower edge of the tuberositas tibia/tibial plateau, three Cun be-
low the knee fold) are said to be the best general tonifying
points.
The master points can be used individually or in combination.
They are present on both the left and right sides of the body.
