9.1Safetyinstructions
Before connecting to the mains,ensure that the mains supply is isolated and secured
againstanaccidentalswitching‐on.
Removethecoveroftheactuatorinordertoconnecttheelectricsupply(see8.).
Themainsconnectingcablesmustbesuitablydimensionedtoacceptthemax.currentrequirementof
theactuator.
Theyellow‐greencolouredcablesmayonlybeusedforconnectingtoearth.
Whenyouinsertthecablethroughthedrivecableconnector,ensurethatthemax.bendingradiusforthecableis
observed.
PSFelectricactuatorsdonothaveaninternalelectricalpowerswitch.Aswitchorpowermainsswitchmustbe
providedinthebuildinginstallation.Itshouldbepositionedcloselyto
thedeviceandbeeasilyaccessiblefortheuser
andshallbelabelledasthemainsisolatorswitchfortheactuator.
ThebuildinginstallationmustalsoprovidepowersurgetripsorfusescorrespondingtostandardIEC60364‐4‐41with
protectionclassIresp.protectionclassIII(24VAC/
24VDC)fortheactuatorconnections.
Pleaseprotectallofthepowersupplyandcontrolcablesinfrontofthe
terminalsmechanicallybyusingsuitablemeasuresagainst
unintentionalloosening.Neverinstallthepowersupplyandthecontrol
cablestogetherinonelinebutinsteadpleasealwaysusetwodifferent
lines.

Loosenthescrewsbyusingascrewdriverandunscrew
thementirelyoutofthegearcasing.Thescrewsare
protectedagainstloss.
Openthecoveronlyinadryenvironment.
Close:
Putthecoveronthegearcasingandpressdownslightly.
Tightenthescrewsgentlyandthen crosswise.
Attention!Observeprecautionsforhandling.
Groundtheactuator.
Beforeopeningthecover,touchgroundedhousingparts.
