  If your Pullmaster Winches winch isn't producing the line pull at maximum pressure as listed in the specifications, here's what you should check: * Ensure the winch is mounted on a level surface. * Inspect cable sheaves or block purchases to ensure they turn freely. * Check the hydraulic motor for damage or wear. * Investigate and rectify any excessive back pressure in the hydraulic system. * Adjust the relief valve to the specified maximum operating pressure. * Verify that the clutch release valve is in the correct position.

What to do if my Pullmaster Winches winch will not reverse?

  If your Pullmaster Winches winch is not reversing, it could be due to several reasons. First, check and replace any damaged O-ring seals on the brake piston, as leakage can prevent brake release. Next, inspect and replace damaged O-ring seals in the brake release channel. Ensure that the hydraulic pressure meets or exceeds the minimum operating pressure. Also, verify that the winch is mounted on a level surface. Lastly, clear any blockages in the brake release orifice in the brake housing.

  If the brake on your Pullmaster Winches vibrates when powering down a load, several factors could be responsible. Begin by ensuring that the pump is supplying sufficient flow and operating at normal RPM. Check the circulation flow of oil and rectify any issues, as the brake may be running too hot due to insufficient flow. Verify that the control valve has good metering characteristics. Inspect and replace any damaged brake plates or divider plates. Also, inspect and replace the damaged over-running clutch. Finally, check for and eliminate air mixed with hydraulic oil.
