2 Introduction
Please read this manual carefully before using the product.
Failure to do so could result in personal injury and damage to the machine, and will also void the warranty.
This product must not be used by persons under 18 years of age or older with reduced physical, sensory or
mental abilities or lack of experience and knowledge. As long as they are supervised or have been instructed to use
the appliance in a safe manner and understand the potential hazards, they may use the product. Children must not
play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance by the user must not be carried out by unsupervised children.
Warning!
If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a service centre.
3 Safety
The 4" submersible pump may only be used in compliance with these safety regulations:
• The motor may only be operated under water - the motor must not be run dry.
• The electric motor must be protected by overcurrent protection and protected by a residual current device with
a residual current value of 30mA.
• Visually check the condition of the pump and the supply cable before switching on.
• Protect electrical and mechanical hazard areas from access by persons.
• The maximum allowed water temperature is +35 °C.
• After switching on the power supply, check the system:
o water level height of pumped liquid.
• Switch off the motor immediately if:
o dry running is imminent - the pump is out of water.
3.1 Summary of imprtant warnings
• Voltage and frequency must match the pump nameplate
• It is forbidden to repair the pump while it is in operation or under the pressure of the pumped liquid.
• For motors on three-phase connections, make sure that the motor is rotating in the correct direction.
• Ensure that the drive motor cannot be started by an unauthorised person when repairing the pumping unit or
device (this can be ensured, for example, by switching off the fuses or by suitably securing (locking) the main
switch).
• Only a person qualified in electrical engineering may perform work on the electrical equipment, including the
connection to the mains.
• All screw connections must be properly tightened and secured against loosening.
• The pump must not be transported when it is connected to the mains, so that it cannot be switched on and
cause injury.
• It is forbidden to use this equipment for pumping flammable, volatile or harmful liquids.
• The device must be mounted in a stable position to prevent it from falling - risk of damage
• In the event of any unexpected event that leads to the mains being disconnected by the circuit breakers, you
must disconnect the pump from the power supply (broken cable insulation etc.) and find the cause of this
condition. It is not recommended to switch the circuit breakers back on without finding the problem and fixing it
it.)
