2. Protect the cable from damage during lowering into the well
• If there is concern about the lack of water in the well, the pump must be protected against dry running, e.g.
by an electrode blocking device (see wiring diagram)
• Fasten the cable successively with self-locking straps to the vertical delivery pipe.
• It is recommended to use flanges, sleeves or fittings to connect the vertical pipe in the well to the continuing
delivery pipe outside the well. This provides the advantage of easy installation and dismantling.
Pulling on the cable is prohibited during installation. The upper end of the cable must not come into contact with water.
6.5 Monitoring the water level
If there is concern about the lack of water in the well, the pumping unit must be protected against dry running, e.g. by
an electrode blocking device.
The operator must ensure that the well (borehole) has sufficient water supply for 30 minutes of uninterrupted
operation. The minimum supply for this type of pump is 1,62 m3 at a conveying height of 10 m and 0,36 m3 at a
conveying height of 90 m.
In the event that it is not possible to guarantee sufficient water in the well, it is necessary to install, for example, an
electrode blocking device to block the pump from running dry. WARNING!
Do not lower or raise the pump using the motor cable.
7 Work on the motor
When troubleshooting and repairing the entire system, strictly follow the relevant motor and machine manufacturer's
instructions. Never open the motor, as it cannot be closed and adjusted without special tools.
Do not modify or rebuild the motor or its electrical connections.
After completing the work, fully activate all safety and protective devices and check their function.
