    What to do if hot-swapping failed drives in QNAP Enclosure?

      To address failed drive hot-swapping in a QNAP Enclosure: 1. Log on to QTS or QuTS hero. 2. Go to Main Menu > Storage & Snapshots > Storage > Disks/VJBOD, and locate the failed drive. 3. Prepare a new drive with equal or greater capacity than the failed one. 4. Remove the failed drive from the JBOD enclosure and wait for 30 seconds (or until two beeps). 5. Remove the failed drive from its tray and insert the new drive. 6. Install the new drive, and wait for 30 seconds (or until two beeps). 7. Go to Main Menu > Storage & Snapshots > Storage > Storage/Snapshots, locate the storage pool containing the new drive, and verify the status is Rebuilding.

      If Storage & Snapshots doesn't recognize your QNAP JBOD enclosure, it might be due to faulty drives or data. Power off the JBOD enclosure, disconnect it from the NAS, remove all drives, reconnect the JBOD enclosure to the NAS, power it on, locate the JBOD enclosure using Storage & Snapshots, and then reinsert the drives.
