      To hot-swap failed drives on a QNAP Enclosure: 1. Log on to QTS. 2. Go to Main Menu > Storage & Snapshots > Storage > External Storage. 3. Locate the failed drive. 4. Prepare a new hard drive with the same or larger capacity. 5. Remove the failed drive from the RAID enclosure and wait for 30 seconds or until the enclosure beeps twice. 6. Remove the failed drive from the drive tray, insert the new drive, and install it. 7. Wait for 30 seconds or until the enclosure beeps twice. 8. Go to Main Menu > Storage & Snapshots > Storage > Storage/Snapshots and verify the status of the volume containing the new drive is Rebuilding.

      If Storage & Snapshots or QNAP External RAID Manager doesn't recognize the QNAP RAID enclosure, it may be due to faulty drives or data. To resolve this: 1. Power off the RAID enclosure. 2. Remove all drives. 3. Power on the RAID enclosure. 4. Locate the RAID enclosure using Storage & Snapshots or QNAP External RAID Manager. 5. Reinsert the drives. 6. Continue with RAID configuration.
