    How to hot-swap failed drives on a QNAP Network Storage Server?

      To replace a failed drive in your QNAP Network Storage Server using hot-swapping, follow these steps: 1. Log in to QTS. 2. Navigate to Main Menu > Storage & Snapshots > Storage > Disks/VJBOD. 3. Identify the failed drive. 4. Obtain a new hard drive with equal or greater capacity than the failed one. 5. Remove the failed drive from the NAS. 6. Wait for 20 seconds, or until the NAS beeps twice. 7. Remove the failed drive from the drive tray. 8. Insert the new drive into the drive tray. 9. Install the new drive. 10. Go to Main Menu > Storage & Snapshots > Storage > Storage/Snapshots. 11. Find the volume containing the new drive and ensure its status is 'Rebuilding'.

      If you are having trouble locating your QNAP Network Storage Server with Qfinder Pro or myQNAPcloud, there may be an issue with the drives or data. To resolve this, power off the NAS, remove all the drives, power the NAS back on, locate it using Qfinder Pro or myQNAPcloud, then reinsert the drives and proceed with the QTS installation.
