Duration Frequency Description
Short beep (0.5 seconds) 1 The NAS is starting up.
When the reset button is pressed for 3 seconds,
the NAS resets congurations.
When the reset button is pressed for 10 seconds,
the NAS resets congurations and reboots.
The operating system was updated.
3 Cannot detect installed disk.
Long beep (1.5 seconds) 3 (every 5 minutes) A power error occurred.

Important
The default "admin" account is automatically enabled after the system reset.
To protect your device from brute force attacks, QNAP recommends disabling the
default "admin" account after a system reset. To disable the account, change the
default admin password, log out of QTS, and then log in to QTS with another admin
account.
