Short beep (0.5 seconds) 1 • The NAS is starting up.
• When the reset button is pressed for 3 seconds,
the NAS resets congurations.
• When the reset button is pressed for 10 seconds,
the NAS resets congurations and reboots.
• The operating system was updated.
3 Cannot detect installed disk.
Long beep (1.5 seconds) 3 (every 5 minutes) • A power error occurred.
• A system fan is not functioning.
• A fan module has been removed.
2 • A storage pool is about to reach full capacity.
• A storage pool has reached full capacity.
• A storage pool status error occurred.
• A disk volume is about to reach its full capacity.
• A disk volume has reached its full capacity.
• A volume status error occurred.
• A drive is plugged in or out.
• The iSCSI is about to reach full capacity.
1 • The NAS was powered o by force shutdown
(hardware shutdown).
• The NAS was powered on successfully and is
ready.

Reset button
Important
• The default "admin" account is automatically enabled after the system reset.
• To protect your device from brute force attacks, QNAP recommends disabling the
default "admin" account after a system reset. To disable the account, change the
default admin password, log out of QTS, and then log in to QTS with another admin
account.
