3.2. Sleep Mode

EG915U-EU is able to reduce its current consumption to an ultra-low value in the sleep mode. The
following section describes power saving procedures of EG915U-EU module.

3.2.1. UART Application Scenario
If the host communicates with the module via UART interface, all the following two preconditions should
be met to set the module enter into sleep mode:

⚫ Execute AT+QSCLK=1 command to enable sleep mode.
⚫ Drive MAIN DTR to a high level.

The figure illustrates the connection between the module and the host.

Figure 3: Sleep Mode Application via UART

⚫ Driving the host DTR low will wake up the module.
⚫ When the module has a URC to report, the URC will trigger the behavior of MAIN_RI pin.

3.2.2. USB Application Scenario
For the two situations below, three preconditions must be met to set the module enter sleep mode:

⚫ Execute AT+QSCLK=1 command to enable sleep mode.
⚫ Ensure the DTR is held at a high level or keep it open.
⚫ The host’s USB Bus, which is connected with the module’s USB interface, enters Suspend state.
